When acquired : 1912.
Where to find it : on the plateaux of the Var, not far from Le Luc, in the heart of Côtes de Provence country.
Area : 110 hectares, including 61 devoted to wine production.
History : former dwelling of the Counts of Provence, a superb 18th-c. country house. The surrounding estate, entirely carved into the rocky land by Marcel Ott, his children and grandchildren, has been remodelled and replanted several times over.
Grape varieties : chiefly Cabernet-Sauvignon, Grenache and Cinsault.
Production : a highly renowned rosé, outstanding reds, an venerable Vieux Marc Rosé.
